Generating an SSH key and adding it to GitHub


SSH (Secure Socket Shell) is a network protocol that allows us to connect securely to remote computers (servers). SSH keys are used to authenticate the user on the remote server after a secure connection has been established.

HTTP works as a request-response protocol between a client and server. A web browser may be the client, and an application on a computer that hosts a website may be the server.
